It can be hard to get kids to eat right, but it is also important for them. If you are looking for some tips to help your kids eat right, here are a couple of suggestions.The first thing to keep in mind is that you are in control of the food that comes into the home. If you do not want your kids to be eating junk food all the time, then don’t buy junk food. If you prefer that they eat healthy foods, then make healthy foods the only options that they have. Fresh fruits and vegetables are great for kids to eat and most kids will eat them if that is what you offer to them.

I have learned over the years that my children will eat snacks much faster if they can dip them. I don’t know what it is about dipping foods, but it seems to be quite popular with kids. You can do this with fruits or vegetables, and while the dips may not be all that good for them, at least they are consuming the fruits and vegetables. You can look for low-fat vegetable dips for fresh veggies. My kids also love using ranch dressing for this. For fruits you can offer yogurt or caramel fruit dips. Kids will love eating these foods if they have something to dip them in.

Another idea is to cut the foods up creatively. I have a special kitchen cutter that cuts foods in crinkles. This makes eating certain foods even more fun.
